OUR EQUESTRIAN COMMUNITY

  • Clinics - We teach clinics around the country to spread knowledge of horsemanship & best equine practices as well as riding and competing.  Each time we hold an educational event, we learn something as our students develop new skills.

  • Judging - Mary Ann is a USEF 'R" judge in hunters and equitation making her eligible to judge USEF and  non rated shows.

  • Judging-clinic combo - this is one of our favorite events!  Mary Ann typically judges a Friday & Saturday horse show and offers a clinic for participants of the show on Sunday.  This grassroots effort spotlights  what the judge is seeking in hunter and equitation classes and gives riders information on how to most effectively become more competitive.

  • Mentoring - we believe in giving young professionals a hand to help or an ear to listen when they need a place to turn for advice in what is a notoriously difficult industry.  Whether it's just a conversation, a horse sale we support, or a more in-depth working situation, one of our aims is to help foster the next generation of professional horsemen and women.

THE PUBLIC

  • School outreach - we have taken a pony to many schools and presented a quick informational talk and hands on grooming session to give the public more horse exposure.  We feel like this is essesntial to keeping horses safe and our sport alive.

  • In conjunction with the Wounded Warriors Program at Ft. Riley, Kansas, we worked on horsemanship with a small group of recovering soldiers.  It was a most enriching experience for us to see how the horses help humans heal and give more meaning to life.  We are open to these types of activities wherever we can offer our horse knowledge to facilitate an activity.  â€‹
